Might see some wintry showers later in the week, but frosts are likely.

It was lovely on the common this morning. A chilly breeze but real warmth in the sun.

There was frost on the ground up around Jersey airport this morning.

Only in the middle of St Helier, their airport is colder than ours.

Morning all, Spirit is correct, the crapauds cheat to suit. When they want warm temperatures they take their readings from St.Helier (on top of Fort Regent) which can be described as a classic UHI (urban heat island) these are the records they use for their tourism propaganda, and then when they want cold temps, they switch to the readings at their airport. Both are valid stations but they don't specify which station they are using.

Anyway on today and we have an occluded crossing us from Normandy late morning which might just might give us a light flurry of the white stuff. Still a generally dry set up until Friday afternoon where we might see some more precipitation but I think at this stage it is more likely to be drizzle. Cold drizzle but still drizzle.

It's one of the hardest things to forecast is snow. There is currently a snow shower in between ourselves and Jersey, a very small one.

I've just been looking ahead to Friday and the weekend and there is an increasing chance of seeing some white stuff from Friday onwards, conditions are still marginal but temperatures are still cold as we are still under this continental influence and a weak warm front approaches down from the NNW, this direction doesn't usually deliver but as usual we are on a knife edge.

Well this cold snap continues. Tonight the temp. could get very cold with a value of -2C being forecast. Looking ahead into the next week and the air doesn't get out of the North to East quadrant so remaining cold. No real chance of any decent snow event for us, but the odd flurry can't be ruled out.
