Many States departments and Civil Servants often get negative publicity. The other day I needed a copy of a Death Certificate. Phoned the Greffe and spoke to a very polite chap who took my details and put the Certificate in the post the same day. It cost £19 but I guess that is not too bad. How many private companies inc. banks could offer such a service. You would usually get it in a couple of weeks!
Please do not buy The Sun, News of the World has gone lets force the Sun out of business too!

It is good to know we have some states department that satisfy customers. Like you say we only hear about the bad ones.

well I beg to differ. A friend of mine needed a copy of his marriage certificate, it cost £15, the date on it was wrong, £30 for changing it, then it took two weeks to come!

I am surprised they had to pay if it someone else's mistake.
