Interesting (and quite alarming IMO) article here:
Express article

Mods - would it be possible to run a poll?

Here you go, Deebay.

Setting aside the EU for the moment, in recent weeks the attitude from the UK to the Islands in general has changed and we should perhaps be listening to the likes of constitutional experts within our own ranks like Roger Perrot or St.John Robilliard to explore further gaining more independence in case we have to. This is something we should have prepared and ready.

Thanks, Beaufort. As I'm no longer in the islands, I won't vote myself... unless a casting vote is needed, maybe.

The Euro is weak inferior currency to the Pound and will never become stronger than it as long as countries like greece use it, I doubt the Germans would have switched to the Euro if they knew what it would turn out like. I hope the UK leaves the EU

I'm pretty sure Germany and the rest of Europe wish they'd never heard of the euro, but the problem is where does the uk go for its exports, the U.S?...Not to mention military tieups with the eurofighter etc...

The US is already the biggest customer for UK exports. As you can see from the article, linked below, there are numerous customers outside the EU. Anyway, not being a member does not prohibit trade, it would just entail differences in import duties etc.
